Geek Returns from Space Wearing Dirt and Cat Hair

I'm back.  The alien probing wasn't bad this time.

What have I been up to?

Oh, you didn't ask?

Too bad.

It's been nothing but excitement around here.

I'm cat-sitting:

My talents are looking cute and lovable and sleeping.
I can be used as a dust mop.

My talents are purring, sleeping, and sitting on my grooming comb.
Yes, I DO see the toy, 'K?

Neither cat was receptive to me trying to sit on them.

Kidding.  Kidding.

I built a wall:

The wall-building efforts caused much distress to
Giant Lizard living in the hole.

I made a new sun bed and planted another rose bush:

Reffie's sun bed was not designed for the neighbor's cat,
obviously enjoying himself is his primary "pet-me-now" position.

Sheesh.  He probably pooped in the mulch as soon as I turned my back.

First bloom from the new addition to my rose family.
If I see the deer approaching this gem, it's venison for lunch.

Kidding.  Kidding.

I cooked for Mother's Day.

This photo intentionally left blank because we ate all the food.
Oink.

I'm training for the Wounded Warrior Half Marathon in June.

This photo intentionally left blank because I melted.
The temps are rising but not quite approaching
"fried egg on the sidewalk" extremes.

Photo credits:  Reffie with a little help from a few sweet kitties!

So Mom's Day dinner was tender, eh?

Heh, heh.

My coldolences to the lizard. We have many that live in our house - like teenagers, they come and go as they please and mostly for the 'free food'(bugs) we don't want around.

I wish I had your energy. Wall-building and half marathons, after being alien-probed!

I'm more on the same pace as those cats.

@Devon - Yeah, that one loves the attention!

@Mrsblogalot - Thanks. Yeah, the aliens aren't fond of us bringing our cameras.

@00dozo - Burp. Very yummy. I think the lizard is ok. He just didn't like me messing around. I love lizards!

@Marissa - Thanks. I think I'll take the rest of the summer off and sleep like those kitties.

I'm always down for a good alien probing. That rose is beautiful.

Sitting on cats? Sounds good to me.

48 degrees here, rain, fog, mist, and various other crap from the sky. I still have the heat on while wearing my fleece undies.

Good luck with the training! I will hope for cool weather and rain at night for y'all!

Thanks for reminding me. I'm overdue for an alien probe.

I'm purring just thinking about it.

Ha!

@Madge - Thanks! I'll let the aliens know you're ready for a visit.

@Deb - Brrrr. Sounds like you need a furry kitty to keep warm. Hee Hee. Thanks for the rain. We got some last night!

@Quirky - You're welcome, anytime. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Be sure to take a cat with you. They are much easier on you if you do.

Awww. what pretty kitties! The wall is fabulous and that rose is so pretty I could just eat it up. Sounds like you've been a very busy girl.

Oh, cute kitties!! More cats for the internet, yay! And I have to say, that's a very pretty wall you built.

Good luck with your marathon run. Good training for chasing cats out of gardens. Me dost think that cat poop might be responsible for the first garden bloom. It's like cow dung but smaller.

@Leeuna - Thanks. Yes, busy, busy. I love spring!

@Ziva - Thanks and yes, these babies are adorable.

@Lauren - Thanks. Cats don't herd well. Sorry you're garden smells.

You have an award over at my place :)

You have been productive...makes my lying in bed reading magazines a bit extreme in the slacker dept. (Well -- not all the time, but as much as I could get away with). The wall is awesome.

@Leeuna - Thanks! No rest for the weary. The rose smells nice, too.

@Madge - Uh oh...

@Wonder Wye - Thanks. You are definitely NOT a slacker!

poop in the mulch is usually a bonus for rose growing

I have to agree with Jean... free fertilizer! Especially since you don't feed him.

Beautiful rock walls and garden!

Oh my goodness, that wall is amazing!! We have an area in our yard that is a support wall to the driveway, aka true annoying eye sore that serves little purpose depite the name. I think I might dress it up with something like this!! You are my hero this week!!!

Cat sitting. You either are a kind, wonderful person or a little touched.

Speaking of half marathon, I need to draw upon your skill set. Would you pm me at runaway123@gmail.com. I need non P90X yoga advice...

ReformingGeek said...

@Jean - Hum.....yeah. I'll keep that in mind.

@Maureen - In that case, I hope pooped and didn't pee!

@Ivy - Thanks! It was a little harder than I thought it would be dealing with the slope in multiple directions but I'm happy with how it finally came out! GO FOR IT!

@Jamie - Yeah, I'm a bit warped! Sure. I'll send you an email.

In my humble opinion, I see no reason why building an immense wall, planting flowers and playing with a cat would stop you from blogging.

Love your landscaping! Hope the green lizard is happy again.

@dana - I'm just lazy. :)

@Boom Boom - Thanks. I think lizard is back to his game of hide and seek!
