One of my first blogging friends, QuirkyLoon, aka, Sandie, is opening a six-pack of Diet Dr Pepper with the angels. Damn that cancer and its complications. A close friend of hers has more details here.
Quirky was the first person to comment on my blog way back in 2008! We wrote a lot of posts back then, traded witty comments and became best blogging buddies. Fun times! During the last few years as we've slowed down from the blogging hype, she dropped by my blog as often as she could. I knew she was fighting a battle.
I loved her insightful humor. She could make the worst experiences funny. She was a talented lady with a huge heart, strong of faith, loved by many, and she will be missed.
Goodbye Sweet Loon. Make the angels laugh and sing some tunes with your own special words.
Sniff.
Sniff.

That's bad news. I liked the Loon too.
I hope I made her laugh a few times while she was here.
Cancer sucks.
It sure does, Timothy.
I am so, so sorry. I know the pain of losing someone we care about all too well to that dreadful c word. May she rest in peace and your fun times will always be in your heart. Our blogging friends are special for so many reasons in my opinion <3
This is very sad. I'm sorry for your loss and the loss to the blogging community.
Oh, dear! I encountered the Quirky lady occasionally, when I as awake (as opposed to hibernating). I knew she was very sick; I didn't think her life would end in what appears to be malpractice. I am sorry for your loss!
Blessings and Bear hugs, Reffie!
I could always count on Quirky to make me laugh. I knew she was a kindred spirit when I learned of our mutual Dr. Pepper addiction early on. I'm gonna miss that woman!
*raises frosty glass of DP to the heavens*
I'm sorry to hear this. I have some sad news about Crotchety Old Man Yells At Cars too. I blogged about it at www.middleagedfatwoman.com.
Best, MAFW
I'm very saddened to hear about this even so late now. She was a fun blog friend...
