Wordless WTF and Wet Wednesday

Wordless? Ha! You should know by now. That's just not possible.

Oh look! We really do have fall color in Texas:

Yes, it's raining.

Also, it's been raining cats and dogs, ducks and frogs, all day, and more is expected. When it rains this much, part of my front yard looks like this:

Lake Geek, somewhere in north Texas

The cats are hissing, the dogs stink, the ducks want to set-up housekeeping, and the frogs are hopping around looking for umbrellas.

My cat is beside himself with frustration. Out to the garage, whine. Back inside, whine. Go upstairs for five minutes, whine. It doesn't help that I slammed the door on his face last week.
(He tries to sneak in when doors open and he just never learns.) I feel so guilty.

Yeah, right.

Now for the WTF:
Is anyone watching Heroes this year? Does anyone just want to slap Claire and her college co-ed silliness? What about House? I've always thought Chase was a whiner. Now it's getting really annoying. Mythbusters? Sheesh! Is she going to have the kid during the next explosion?

Forget all that. I think I see the sky getting brighter and there are some lonely cookie ingredients and a swimming session calling my name.
I see a door opening and a black & white Tuxedo cat flying through it to the outside world. Yippee and a Big Texas YeeHaw! Life is grand.

Ha!

Poor kitty!

But, I heard that rain keeps the zombies away.

There's always a silver lining, eh?

And I started out with Heroes, but Season 2 wore me out. How many times can Hiro reassure himself that he will be a Hero?

Blech!

Yes, rain keeps the zombies away! And Kari had a baby girl over the summer. And she is beautiful!

@Quirky - Phew! I'm glad the zombies will stay in Arizona for now.

Yeah, Hiro's a mess and it's getting old.

@AmyLK - Congrats to Kari!

Send some of that rain this way. I swear I am going to be able to take pics of the uncovered driftwood soon. All the shows I usually watch are over for the season, like Hell's Kitchen. I love love that show.

Rain? I've heard of rain. Things here in the desert are pret-ty dry.

I don't watch Heroes, but I do watch The Housewives of Atlanta and there are a couple of those wives I'd loved to bitch-slap.

I got tired of house about a year ago. The show is the same thing every week. Crazy medical mystery...person is going to die... let's kill him to bring them back to life.... ends with the diagnosis of a silly little illness that you recover from with a quick pill!! Isn't this doctor magical!! BORING!!!

@etta - I'm sending the rain now. One of these days, I'm going to watch Hell's Kitchen!

@Me-Me - I'm sending you some rain, too. Please enjoy.

@Donna - Ah, our kitties, driving us to drink!

@Hit 40 - The only reason I still watch house is the drama involving Doctor House. Yeah. The diagnosis part is a bit lame sometimes.

I would like to join you in bitch-slapping Chase. Whiny-butt!

I have never watched heroes. I hate it when it rains. I like drought conditions :)

ReformingGeek said...

@CatLady - Yes. He's so tiring.

@otin - I could go for dry right now.

I hope it doesn't come this way because I forgot to buy a new canoe. Hope you dry out soon! (but not in the non booze sense)

WTF, Geeky...you almost made me cry. Please never let your cookie ingredients become lonely. Drop them by my place if you must.

Poor crazy cat doesn't like to get her hair wet. Can't blame her. Weather like that drives the murder rate up, so remember that for an excuse in court.

ReformingGeek said...

@Bee - We are building arks. I think it's leaving us today, though.

@mama-face - I got them out and talked to them. They are feeling better.

@Deb - Cat may kill something today.

Hola Reforming,

I am not a fan of the rain. Actually when I'm not on assignment somewheres everyone knows if it's raining I am not making it to the office. Rain just gets under my skin...so much like your kittie I too will whine. I do however understand that rain is a necessary evil.

And yes I agree wholeheartedly with you, Chase is the biggest whiny person ever. I didn't really like House when Chase and the black guy (can never remember his name, is that bad) and Cameron kinda checked out and all those other folk stepped in. Now that it's kinda back to what made it great I hate Chase even more. Oh wait his name is Foreman. OK moving right along...Chase is a loser and I don't like that his whining is taking up valuable story time.

Side note do you watch Lie to Me, it's the show that comes on after House?

Colors in Texas? Learn something every day. lol. It's Indian Summer here in Michigan, full blown colors and high 60's to low 70's.

And hey = whaddaya expect from kitty? Stop slamming doors on the poor li'l thing, honey! (wink)

ReformingGeek said...

@Chaotic - Yeah. The sun is out!

No, I have not see Lie to Me. Maybe one of these days.

@Marvin - Yep. Cat's know how to be in the way.

Everytime I try and comment from my IE browser, it leaves a blank window. So I'm making a special trip via Firefox just to comment. No, don't thank me. Is that Texas in those pictures? I didn't think there was any green there... ;)

Hey Girl, sorry I haven't been around much, lifes a real "B" right now :(

Anyway, very soon I'll be sending you your granola, I just finished making a fresh batch (I accidentally burned the last one, oops). Unfortunately I don't have time to go to the post office today, but I will be early next week. Hope you can wait that long :)

ReformingGeek said...

@Jean - Please keep it but I hear we may get more Sunday.

@VE - I won't. Fooled you. Yes, it is very green here right now.

@Skye - Hi Stranger! I'm getting hungry but yes, I think I can wait! Thanks.

We are getting more rain here, too. Sigh....

And Mythbusters? Oh man, we were watching that the other day, and I could not get passed all the obvious scripting going on in that show. They are totally not good actors and the script was just cheesy.

ReformingGeek said...

@Sara - Thanks!

@Jacki - It is a bit silly sometimes.
