Space Cadet Sails Away, Gets Wet, and Lands in Iceville

It's been quite a month around here.  Cat has puffed out to his true snowball self and is demanding the walking warm spots plant themselves on a couch to provide laps.

Hubby and I hopped on a plane and flew to Florida so I could compete in the Space Coast Half Marathon in Cocoa Village.  It was a fun race and I set a personal record for a half marathon.  Oh, how I love flatter courses.  Hee Hee.

There was some cool race bling....

....and none of these critters on the course, thankfully!

Then Hubby and I sailed away on this big ship:

We had a lovely time even when it rained cats, dogs, ferrets, fish, and weird statues on us in San Juan:

Our cabin was warm and dry. We had some fun with the towel art:

While we were away, our hometown in north Texas turned into an Ice Bowl (it was too depressing to photograph), forcing our big airport down to one runway and to show boards full of canceled flights.  Our flight home from Florida was canceled but we got on the next flight.  Our wonderful and brave friends collected us from the airport and drove us to our home in some very nasty conditions.

Oh, and somebody told me Christmas is coming so I got out my decorations.  I had a few problems:

Yes, I'm sure Evil Twin had something to do with these broken decorations.

She's getting a lump of coal in her stocking.

Happy Holidays!

Glad you're back geek lady. Even after giving yourself a run-around.

Speaking of alligators, the story is told of a man who tipped his boat is south Florida. Fearful of the reptiles, he screamed for help. A local came to rescue him, at which the upset sailor asked about the alligators.

"We don't have an alligator here," said the local. Much relieved, the visitor starred swimming to his rescuer's boat.

At which point the local added, "Yep, not more alligators; the sharks got 'em all."

Hope you did not encounter any sharks; also hope you don't feed Evil Twin to them — or the cats, for that matter.

Merry Christmas. Blessings and Bear hugs!

You have had a fun filled exciting month but I'm so glad your warm laps are back for that gorgeous ball of fur named Oreo :-)

How disappointing. No crocs to interfere with your half-marathon. I mean imagine that would definitely help meet your personal goals with that kind of motivation on yer tail!

HA!

Happy Holidays!

Tell Evil Twin to go into hibernation and take her bah humbug ways with her! heh heh

Sounds like you picked the best time to be on vacation. I would love to be in Florida or on a cruise right now.

I think ET is using the Vulcan mind meld to control cat.

Hope it warms up there.

@Rob-Bear - I'm not going anywhere near that water!

@Michelle - This month has flown by! I think Oreo is glad we are back.

@Quirky - That's a good point. I would have sprinted!

@Lauren - I think ET has perfected several alien techniques. She scares me.

Evil Twin might like a lump of coal in her stocking. You can break a window and make a fine mess with a lump of coal.

THAT IS AWESOME!!!!

And wow - what an excellent vacation too! Welcome home.

We decorated last weekend too. It's nice to finally get into the holiday spirit!

I hope you're able to fix those broken decorations?

@Timothy - I think she has found the lump of coal and is already playing with it. Sigh.

@Meleah - Thank you! It was so much fun. I'm ready to go back. Hubby was able to glue the nutcrackers back together!

Evil Twin is at it AGAIN! Shame on her, trying to spoil the holidays like that. Nuts to her! Glad you had a fun vacay, despite the rain! Be well and enjoy the holiday!

Congrats on the personal record!!

Towel art is so fun! I've never seen that before. I think Evil Twin might have been at my house too. What's she got against snowman heads? (-:

Happy New Year girl! xoxo!!

Yeah, you know what I'm gonna focus on here . . . what was the PR TIME??? That looks like a very fun race, sadly it's out of my geographic region. I'm settling for Rock 'n' Roll Arizona this weekend.

Have fun, Reffie!

Just the towel art makes me want to go on a cruise!
