28 Days of Writing - One Bite

1101101_

Oh dear.  Those bits don't even make one byte.  One bit short of a byte.

A few bricks short of a load.

A taco short of a combo platter.

The elevator never makes it to the top floor.

One piece short of a jigsaw puzzle.

A deck with an extra joker.

Well, ok, so I just made some of those up but they fit with living with Evil Twin.

One Bite = False:
  • Can I have just ONE bite of that cake you're having?
  • I'll just have ONE of those cute little candies.
  • I'll just have ONE slice of that delicious sourdough bread.
  • I"ll have ONE small chunk of that yummy Cheddar.

I'm sure none of you ever took a bite out of each piece of candy in the box putting the half-eaten piece back in its slot.  Oops.

Stop by and visit Nicky.  She may or may not bite.

In Canada, one of our favourites is a fry short of a poutine. Okay, maybe it's one of my favourites

Me, I take a bite out of a candy, decide if I like it or not, and if I don't, I feed the other half to M. Problem solved!

And how many times has Oreo taken a bite out of you?

Maybe we could try one bite short of a cat fight?

Blessings and Bear hugs!

One taco short of a combo platter? Hilarious! Did you make that up? I have never heard it!

Darlin, you need 8 bits to make a bite and you can do a lot with a bite as you know. Go get some more bits!

And here I am thinking of that owl in the old Tootsie Pop commercial.

One . . .twoooo . . . three.

Crunch!

You know you can't eat just one bite...unless it's liver.

@Noname - Hm...I've never heard of that one.

@jayne - Aha! I knew it was you.

@Katherine - Oops. I'd better hide the candy.

@Paula - Got cheese?

@meleah - I saw it on Urban Dictionary and thought it fit very well for the south.

@Ziva - I need M to come here.

@Rob - Well, um, he takes love bites. ;)

@laughingmom - I know. It's preposterous.

@Malisa - I saw it on Urban Dictionary. LOL

@Linda M - My bit bucket is full.

@Chris - Yum, tootsie rolls!

@Linda - I don't think I could eat even one bit or bite of liver.

Oh, c'mon... just one bite... it's only wafer thin...

I'm fascinated by that "byte" game you play in the opener of your post. I have a vague idea about bytes being zeroes and ones, but I don't know how to read that string of numbers you put up there. Does it have to do with paired numbers? I guess this is something I should be looking up now.

@Nicky - I'm sure you taste good.

@MsDarkstar - Wafer thin would probably be a good thing.

@KZ - What I posted was intended to point out that there are only 7 bits instead of 8, which would be a byte. Yes, the ones and zeroes can be "read" but it's been awhile since I knew the details.
