Too Quiet on the Western Front

The talking weather torsos are calling for some noise later.  I'll believe it when I see it.

I introduced you to Mrs Kravitz in my last post.   I fear I have become Mrs. Kravitz.  Well, not exactly, as she's in black and white and I'm in color but I when I'm home I find myself walking to the window and admiring the view.

To those on the outside, I may look like a nosy neighbor, craving excitement from behind the mullions.

Why am I gazing outside?

I like the little birdies and my fat squirrel that soak themselves in the birdbath.  The squirrel camped out there one hot afternoon, resting on the wet spot waiting for me to refill the bath.  The birds fight over their turn in the water.  Silly things.

I'm also hopeful that Cat, that crazy hair-throwing beastard, will come back.  He's been missing since Monday morning when he didn't appear to be let inside.  Clumps of fur were in the front yard but I can't locate the rest of him.

Although we know there are coyotes around,  our cat has always managed to hide from them.  We also have owls.  YEE-OUCH!  It would take a rather large owl to haul off my 15-pound beast, though.

He has "left" before only to return a few days later, ready to eat and take a long nap.

Sigh.  Sometimes there isn't much "domestic" in this cat.

I certainly don't sit around all day staring outside.  I sometimes do it from an upright position.

Seriously, I'm in a bit of a holding pattern.  My mom has had some additional issues that need to be cleared up before she can have her shoulder surgery so I have not made any additional summer plans outside of my normal teaching schedule (my Yoga and Pilates classes).

I had to contain Evil Twin yesterday.

Doesn't it annoy you when you need something and the person you asked responds with a forced smile and a mouthful of brush-off instructions when all they had to do was spend one minute getting you what you need?  Sometimes people make it obvious that you aren't worth their time.  I felt like the splashed dirt at the bottom of the totem pole.

I smiled, said "thank you" and walked away.   I came back later, asked someone else, got what I needed and was gone in 30 seconds.

Unfortunately, I can look back and see myself behaving that way.  Sheesh.  Payback is a bee-otch!

Oh, who am I kidding?  I'm perfect, right?

Happy Hump Day!  Do a rain dance for me, please.

It's been nothing except raining here. LOL. I'm tired of it.

And you're right; I subscribe to the "payback is a b*tch" and "what goes around comes around" philosophies. LOL.

Hey, Reffie, I'll send some of my rain your way. We've had loads of it. I'm sorry about Cat. I hope he comes home safely. And yeah, you're always perfect. :)

Cat is probably just off hunting himself some coyotes. Maybe snacking on some owl. He'll be back before you know it.

@AmyLK - Fish hook? OUCH! I would be less worried if he was a bit younger. It's been awhile since he's wandered off for this long.

@Quirky - Thanks. You are a Sweet Zombie. I'm sure Evil Twin is behind this in some way.

@Leeuna - Thanks. I'll take that rain anytime now. I appreciate your positive thoughts and I'm glad you agree that I'm purrfect. ;-)

@Ziva - Yeah, he's out there roasting that coyote on a stick. ;-)

I was thinking that there is a little bit of Mrs Kravitz in all of us...including cats..especially cats in fact. Maybe he's out gathering all the good gossip. Keep the faith and the watch!

I certainly hope your cat comes home soon. Houses are so empty when the kings aren't home to rule the roost. One of our cats was gone for three days, we were sure something must have happened. He returned home smelling like a pine tree and all sappy. He must have been stuck up a tree. I guess it's true they will come down for food, LOL.

Sending good thoughts for a quick return.

Rain dance commencing...is it raining there yet? Hope your poor kitty comes home soon, I know I would be a MESS about that!

@MrsBlogalot - Good gossip would make up for his absence!

@Diane J- Thanks. I have looked up a few times to see if he's in a tree. You'd think he be hollering if he were.

@Anything - Maybe you should try The Hustle! Thanks for thinking of Cat.

I hope cat comes back soon. My expired cat once went missing for two days (before he was expired)then came home. I couldn't sleep. I was a nervous wreck. He was my baby. Sniff. Honk!

Hey. We're a nation of Mrs. Kravitz's. What an honor to be another Kravitz profile in the window.

Take our rain. We have had showers every afternoon for days, so maybe it's moving your way. I am sorry about cat -- I hope he's just on a walkabout! We have a Mr. Kravitz -- even out here in the country, they're everywhere. Actually glad they are noisy -- I know they're looking out for the place...Sorry you had to suffer incompetence...tomorrow is Friday! yeah!

@Wonder Wye - Thanks. Friday was great!

@Marvin - Thanks. Yes, it's a challenge some days. ;-)

So many people I know, including myself, seem to be in a holding pattern lately. I can't figure out why, either. But it's strange. I think I'll go look out the window and see if anything interesting's going on. I doubt it.

Sorry about your cat. Well, I guess I'm not sorry yet. I may be sorry by your next post.

OMG! Not only did Bewitched have two Darrens but two Mrs. Kravitz's too!?
When I made the header for my blog I googled Mrs. Kravitz and found that lady I have in my header. Just goes to show you, you can't trust a witch. ;-)

@Deb - Thanks. It's still quiet.

@Mike - Thanks. I hope you find some fodder.

@Sue - No. Samantha was probably just trying to confuse us. ;-)
