30 Days of Photographs IV - Backwards

I may be getting desperate already.  I'm presenting you with a photo of a door today.  Yes, a door.

Some say I'm backwards.  The kitchen is to my left.
A window and then an outside wall is to my right.
The grill lies just beyond me on the back porch.
Why must I open into my homeowners carrying food?
I think I should open the other way.

UPDATE:  My "backwards" is the left vs. right opening door, rather than in or out.  Yeah, Evil Twin is trying to confuse you.  I think the door should have the knob on the left and open right.

Sigh.

You want to join this madness?  Read about how Mike and Ziva blame each other for the topics.

Other photos:  Ziva's Backwards.

That's bassakwards!

Interestingly enough, doors open out in Finland, not in, so as to prevent people from being able to kick in the door.. Yeah, on second thought, maybe "interesting" wasn't the right word...

Hmmmm, we have the screen door which opens out and the inner door which opens in. Which is really fun when you're bringing in the groceries and trying to keep both doors open at the same time. Sigh. When are we finally going to be able to just beam stuff around?

Whoa. That backwards door would drive me nuts!

All of our doors open inwards here. I hadn't thought about it, but it does make it easier to kick them in!

Don't all entrance door open inward? I think so. Maybe it's not the door that is backwards. Maybe it's you. Just sayin'. :)

I can confidently say that I would run into that door trying to learn to open it in.

Hee Hee. To me, the door is backwards because it opens left instead of right. All of our doors open "in"....except the storm door on the outside of this door. Oh my, there are way too many ins and outs today!

Yep! I am officially confused. Now if you met me in person, that might not seem all that unusual but nonetheless, that door confuses me.

I hate wrong doors, and I've lived with many of them.

You could fix that, by the way.

That is all wrong !

Hmm... okay. Yeah. Do you think you can provide me with a map?

@Timothy - Yep.

@Ziva - Makes it east to kick people out.

@Nicky - Hard to do while drinking.

@meleah - Fortunately, we don't use it very often.

@Babs - I just want it to open to the right.

@Malisa - Well, yeah, there is that.

@Nora - It's a rain exercise.

@Traci - Oops, sorry about that.

@MikeWJ - Yeah, get a new door. :)

@Janine - I agree.

@noname - Haha. Well, um, no. :)

Evil Twin's backwards view on life. I get it.

I had to actually look at my door and compare.

This makes perfect sense to me. As a kid, whenever anything opened or turned the usually way, adults in my family called it 'French' because half of them were French Canadian. In their goofy world it was their way of calling something wrong or stupid.

"1.00s, 1.50s, 1.75s for the short arms. If you know what I'm talking about, you're probably old, too."

"Boomer brain fog: What was the last, middle, and first part of what you just said to me?"
