30 Days of Photographs IV - Two Birds, One Stone

I was pulling my best nosy neighbor impression (think Mrs. Cravitz from Bewitched) and what do I see but my stone birdbath......with customers!

Yea!  Yea!  Two Birds, One Stone is done!  Cat missed the bathing and drinking party.  He was looking for his pet squirrel.

I was lazy and took the photo through the window screen on a bright, sunny afternoon.  I had to use a bit of sepia to give it some interest.

Other birds and stones can be found here.

Yeah, a little lazy. I went outside in 110 degree heat.

I like the picture through the screen. With the touch of Sepia, the antique look seems more authentic. Very nice, Reffie.

Shooting through the screen was probably the only way you'd have gotten off the shot. Birds are incredibly skittish.

This looks like a lazy day in the South. Really nicely done.

"I had to use a bit of sepia to give it some interest." Sigh... Evil Twin must've put you up to this.

Nice photo, though. Too bad Cat missed dinner.

@Timothy - So glad it's not 110 here.....just 100.

@Nicky - Thanks. I liked what the sepia did to the photo.

@Cheryl - That was my thinking. Thanks!

@Ziva - Thanks! You should know that Evil Twin plays by no rules. Sigh.

Those poor birds. You could have a least installed a shower curtain.

Utoh.

Didn't you know that sepia is like the 'kiss of death' to the other people playing in the challenge?

LOLZ!

I love the sepia effect. It's a good thing you got the shot before cat noticed he was missing the party.

@noname - They are looking they have water!

@meleah - I hear the beat of a different drummer. :)

@Lauren - Thanks. I think he's about to catch on.

I can see the stone part, but I'm having trouble seeing the birds even if I squint really, really hard. Are you sure those aren't squirrels?

(Evil Twin wrote this comment for me)

Aww. We had a bird bath at our old house. I miss it.

@MikeWJ - Our birds are small because they don't know they are in Texas. Sigh.

@Nora - I love my birdbaths!

Smiling big about what you said... being lazy and taking the shot through the screen. I think it gives it character!

I'm not sure those are birds. I think they may be Texas mosquitos! I don't blame you for not going outside!

Is that steam rising from the birdbath? Damn, it must still be hot down there!

The sepia makes it look awesome, not lazy at all.
