30 Days of Photographs IV - Transparent

For transparent, I present you with a painting by the late D. L. Valdes.  He lived in New Mexico.  We love Santa Fe and visit when we can.  A favorite activity was visiting his shop just to see what cool paintings and prints he had done since the last time.  We have several of his prints, all reflective of the high desert and/or animals of the area.  It was a sad, sad, visit when we learned he had passed away.

How many wolves do you see?  Oh, and doesn't it look great over our fireplace?

I bet they don't have transparent wolves in Finland but you might want to check.

That's a very interesting painting!
I see two wolves. Are there any more?

What a lovely painting but I have my eye of that mantel and brickwork. We forgot to buy a house with a fireplace and now I lust after everyone else's. See what happens when you don't pay attention to the details? Be careful out there.

What a beautiful painting! We have plenty of wolves in Finland, but none as pretty or as transparent as these.

That's an amazing piece of art. It looks great over the mantle.

@Babs - It was love at first sight for us. I think there's two, maybe three, if that top cloud is forming a wolf.

@Cheryl - Thanks! We love the brick. It's not common around here so we feel unique!

@Ziva - Thanks. Hee Hee. Finnish wolves rock, I'm sure.

@noname - Thanks! We've had it awhile and it's still one of our favorites.

A fireplace or woodstove is a MUST HAVE on my list.

Interesting artwork and a perfect place to display it.

I like any painting/picture with a moon in it, and this one looks great over your fireplace.

I don't anything about wolves in Finland, but I can report that Ziva's eyes are as gray and as piercing as a wolves' eyes.

@meleah - Thanks. It really works well in our den.

@Linda - Thanks!

@Lauren - It is a bit eerie, isn't it?

@Tami - Thanks. It's the perfect size for above the fireplace.

@MikeWJ - Thanks! Wow. Grey eyes? Cool. In a former life, she was a wolf!

Wow! That is transparent. I can see the moon outside.

Oh! I think I've seen some of this guy's work before, only without knowing whose it was. Very neat. And very sad that the world has lost him.

Love the painting. I could hang that here somewhere.

@Shawn - Amazing!

@Jay - Wow. That's cool that you've seen his stuff. He was very talented.

@Timothy - Thanks. I bet it would fit right in!

Very cool. Love local artists. It's a wild piece, too.
