Yes, I know there is purple crayon on page 10. Sigh. I'm sure my brother did that.
Yes, I see that the illustration is supposed to be Adam and Eve, and yes, I do think they are a bit over-dressed. No, I don't see the snake.

How awesome that you still have it! Now, let me ask you... Did your brother REALLY do the purple crayon???
I like it. I'm behind on my reading.
Amazing you still have that book. Those stories just never grow old. Oh, wait, they are old...very old.
"my very first Bible. My parents gave it to me when I was four."
Oh man! That is sooo awesome. I love that you still have it. And totally perfect for today's prompt!
It's wonderful that you kept your first Bible. I gave mine away to a new convert when I was in college. He went on to become a pastor, and I hope he kept it.
It's really lovely that you still have that. I think I have my very first prayer book, tucked away somewhere. It even has a rose petal inside, from when we used to collect them to press in our prayer books for fun. It's about 60 years old now :)
Illustrated AND in color. Great that you still have this and perfect for the prompt.
I still have my first Bible, too, from when I was about that age. Mine was mostly pictures, though, and the stories were shortened up a bit, simplified.. Come to think of it, maybe it wasn't a Bible at all.
@Katherine - Well, um....
@Timothy - You can skip page 10.
@Noname - Yep. Very old stories!
@meleah - Thanks! It was in the same drawer with the scroll from yesterday so it was an easy choice.
@MikeWJ - I hope so, too.
@Babs - That's great. 60 years. Wow.
@mike - Pictures! Yea! Thanks.
@Ziva - Oh, um, I think I had one of those, too.
That's great! I have several Bibles but I don't know where my first one is.
Wow, lovely that you still have it, purple crayon and all!
I have several Bibles, but my parents never gave me one when I was young. I don't remember there being one in the house, either.
I used to have a bible with my name printed on the front from when I was little. No idea what happened to it. I don't think mine had the swell illustrations, though. If it had, I probably would have colored them and saved the bible.
@Nora - Thanks!
@Jay - Thanks!
@Paula - Yeah, those illustrations are something else.
I think that it is absolutely wonderful that you still have the Bible you received at age 4. I remember my first Bible. I just don't know where it is. I've moved a lot since then. Sometimes in the dark of night. :)
Never got a Bible. During Passover, my family used the Maxwell House prayer book. Now you know why I'm so weird.
@Malisa - Thanks. Wow. You're life sounds very interesting!
@Lauren - Evil Twin adores you.
You sure Evil Twin didn't do the Purple Crayon?
:-)
