I want to make State Fair Hot Rolls. What do I do?
Evil Twin, you're the best! I love those. I could eat the entire pan in one sitting! You'll need a rising agent. Start with a package of yeast and some sugar and add warm water.
WAIT! Don't pour the water just yet. OPEN the package..... Good, now we're getting closer.
While my bread rises, go check out the early, and not so early risers over at the Inferno.

I knew someone would go there. Dough rising. I like it!
Mmmmmm...... Warm, home made bread, with butter slowly melting on it.
I had a moment of insanity when I actually considered baking rolls and taking before and after photos, meshing them together, and posting that awesomeness on my blog for Rising. Thankfully, it passed. Phew!
I just know Evil Twin would have loved my suffering for this challenge. Pfffft.
There is nothing better than freshly homemade bread. I bet your house smells fantastic now too!
I almost went there with dough rising but then I went off on a tangent ~
Ohhhh I love homemade bread!!!! Yum yum yum!!!!
Welcome to #teamlame, Reffie. You're an honorary member! (Did I get a rise out of you?)
Evil Twin takes directions about as well as M does. :D
I thought briefly about photographing a loaf and bread and talking about it rising. I am so not a breadmaker. I can just about manage soda bread but anything with yeast defeats me.
@Timothy - Of course. Thanks!
@Babs - Salivating!
@Cheryl - I'm glad that moment passed.
@meleah - I think I would actually have to make the bread. :)
@Katherine - Now I really need to bake!
@Tami - Hopefully, a good tangent!
@noname - Pfffft. You "felled".
@Ziva - That's it exactly.
@Jay - I know what you mean. My yeast breads come out tasting ok, but don't look as great as what you see at bakeries. Sigh.
That is a great idea for the prompt. Now, I'm in suspense. Did the dough rise or not?
I love the smell of rising bread dough. A great way to start the day.
If you do make them, please call me. I'll be there right away. In about 12 hours.
I think I can smell something burning...
Mmmmm... I love fresh baked bread! I'll bring the cheese. :-)
@Lauren - It's supposed to but ET fell asleep at the bowl so we had to toss it out.
@Paula - Yeast waffles sound good.
@MikeWJ - I'll give you 15 hours notice next time.
@Anonymous - Oops.
@Nicky - Yes, please.
The last time I made bread it looked a lot like your prep shot. It never got better from there ;)
